If you can get over how weird it looks
To learn joint repair, you first have to discard black-and-white thinking about movement.
No movement is good or bad, right or wrong, can or can't.
Instead, you must think in terms of relative strength or weakness.
This means the weakest or most restricted movements contain, by definition, the most potential for development.
You develop a movement, first and foremost, by loading it.
As it becomes able to bear more load in deeper positions for longer periods of time, the restrictions begin to fall away piece by piece.
Anterior loading of the knee is a perfect example of this:
Stuff like this has helped clients in their 70s with end-stage knee osteoarthritis avoid imminent surgery while returning to movements they thought were lost.
Understand?
The thing you can't do is the thing you must do, and with each small gain in function, weakness becomes strength, and the impossible becomes natural again.
YOU'RE NOT BROKEN. YOU JUST NEED TO MOVE BETTER.
